For Editors.

Official standards, governance policies, and operational workflows for members of the GTS Press editorial board.

Editorial Roles & Standards

The Editorial Board of GTS Press is responsible for maintaining the technical and ethical standards of the Archive. Our editors ensure that every discovery is evaluated fairly, objectively, and efficiently.

Editorial Governance Structure

Editor-in-Chief (EIC) - Strategic Oversight

The Editor-in-Chief holds the ultimate accountability for the journal's scientific direction and technical integrity. Their role involves establishing the high-level scope of the Archive, appointing distinguished editorial board members, and making the final determination on high-impact manuscripts. The EIC ensures that the journal adheres to international scholarly standards while driving innovation in digital research dissemination.

Managing Editor - Operational Command

The Managing Editor oversees the day-to-day lifecycle of every manuscript in the system. They are responsible for the "technical audit" phase, which includes rigorous plagiarism screening, scope verification, and template compliance. By managing the workflow efficiently, they ensure that the time-to-decision remains within the journal's competitive targets without compromising the quality of the evaluation.

Associate Editor - Technical Orchestration

Associate Editors are subject matter specialists who handle specific manuscript batches within their niche expertise. Their primary responsibility is to identify and invite elite peer reviewers from our global Archive. They evaluate reviewer feedback, moderate technical rebuttals, and provide a comprehensive recommendation to the EIC regarding the manuscript's suitability for publication based on its technical novelty and methodological rigor.

Integrated Editorial Workflow

Ingestion & Technical Audit

The workflow begins with the secure ingestion of the manuscript into the GTS management portal. The system automatically cross-references the submission against our historical Archive to detect duplicate submissions. Simultaneously, the Managing Editor conducts a multi-point technical audit, verifying plagiarism scores (via iThenticate) and ensuring that all metadata, including DOI references and author affiliations, are correctly formatted for downstream indexing.

Peer Review Orchestration

Once a manuscript clears the technical audit, it enters the expert review phase. The Associate Editor utilizes our "Expert Match" algorithm to identify three peer reviewers whose research profiles align with the manuscript's technical focus. This stage is governed by a strict Triple-Blind protocol, where the identity of all parties is concealed to eliminate institutional bias. Reviewers provide granular critiques on the research methodology, data consistency, and scientific contribution.

Iterative Revision & Rebuttal

In the event of a "Major Revision" or "Minor Revision" decision, authors enter an iterative feedback loop with the editorial board. Authors are required to submit a point-by-point rebuttal letter along with their revised manuscript. The editorial board assesses whether the technical concerns raised by the reviewers have been satisfactorily addressed. This collaborative refinement process is designed to elevate the manuscript to the elite standards required for global Archive dominance.

Final Validation & Global Indexing

The concluding stage involves a final quality sign-off by the Editor-in-Chief. Following approval, the manuscript is assigned a permanent, trackable DOI and formatted into the journal's final typesetting layout. The metadata is then disseminated to international databases including CrossRef, Google Scholar, and our partner institutional registries, ensuring that the research achieves immediate and permanent global visibility across the scholarly ecosystem.

Board Governance Policies

  • Editorial board members are appointed for a fixed term of 3 years, renewable upon performance review.

  • Conflict of interest disclosure is mandatory for every handled manuscript.

  • The Editor-in-Chief has the absolute right to reject any manuscript that does not meet ethical standards.

  • All editorial decisions are final and recorded in the GTS Press integrity ledger.
